MerleFest Announces Midnight Jam Lineup, Other Collaborations

Additionally, the festival has provided a listing of many of the special collaborations expected at MerleFest 2014, pointing out the many “must see” artistic combinations that have made the yearly gathering in Wilkesboro, N.C., so legendary.

Chris Luquette Joins the Ensemble of Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen

Frank solivan and Dirty KitchenFrank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen started off the year pretty hot and heavy. Except for the temperatures on their "Way Up North To Alaska Tour" in January. It wasn't very hot there. It was minus 35 when we landed in Fairbanks! The band's good friend Chris Luquette filled in on guitar for us up north. He did an incredible job. In fact, he did so well, they offered him the job. The official public announcement of his new venture with Dirty Kitchen was from stage at Wintergrass Bluegrass Festival in Bellevue, Washington last month.

Danny BoothFrank Solivan closed out 2011 with Danny Booth's first tour as an official member of Dirty Kitchen and it was Lincoln's last performances with the band. Lincoln wanted to start spending more time at home off the road. as you all know, FS&DK is really starting to ramp up. Frank says, "Linc is a dear friend and awesome musician. We support his next chapter. The whole FS&DK team would like to thank him for his commitment to the band and all the great music and shared experiences."

December Starts with Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen at Berkeley's Freight and Salvage

Danny BoothBerkeley, California's traditional music coffee house, Freight & Salvage will start off December with an outstanding performance by one of bluegrass music's most entertaining groups, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen. The Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse is an all-ages performance venue. Coffee, teas, sodas, desserts, and light snacks are available at the Freight food counter. They also have beer and wine available for sale in their lobby.

Danny Booth Joins Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen

Danny BoothNashville, TN -- Bluegrass favorites Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen are excited to announce the addition of bass player Danny Booth to their band's official lineup. Booth, originally from Anchorage, AK has been playing with Spring Creek from Colorado for over a year. Prior to Spring Creek, he played with Kathy Kallick and his own band, 49 Special. FS&DK asked him if he could fill in for a few weeks while Spring Creek was off and as a result of a job well done, FS&DK has offered him the position permanently. Booth's first show as an official member will be at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, California on December 1st.

Now, that's a hot list of entertainment.
